Sex racket busted in Sec 51 guesthouse, 10 arrested

Gurgaon: A prostitution racket, whih was operating from a guesthouse in Sector 51, was busted on Sunday with the arrest of 10 people, including five women. Police said all the accused have been sent to judicial custody.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team led by inspector Vijay Kumar, SHO of Sadar police station, raided Ashiana guesthouse in Sector 51 on Sunday night and nabbed the accused. The owner and manager of the guesthouse managed to escape, said police.

The accused have been identified as Bheem Singh, a resident of Amethi in Uttar Pradesh, Rinku and Anoop from Ferozabad in Uttar Pradesh, Nikhil from Badaun in Uttar Pradesh and Nikhil from Jasola in Delhi. Of the five women arrested, two are from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. A mobile phone was also seized from the accused, said police.

Police said the guesthouse charged between Rs 5,000 and Rs 10,000 per customer for the services. They would contact prospective clients through social media and invite them to spend nights at the guesthouse after finalising deals.

“At the time of the raid, men and women were found in objectionable position. The accused used to send photos of girls via Whatsapp to interested people. We are interrogatiing hem for more details,” said inspector Vijay Kumar, the investigating officer.
An FIR was registered aghainst the accused late on Sunday night under several sections of Immoral Trafficking Act in Sadar police station. They were produced in a city court and sent to judicial custody on Monday.
Police have increased raids on alleged sex rackets in the city and busted more than three rackets that were being operated from spa centres. On October 4, 25, people were arrested for allegedly running a sex racket from a spa in a mall on MG Road.
